1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Returnzie's services, website, or mobile application (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

Returnzie provides a platform that connects customers who need to return packages with independent drivers who pick up and deliver those packages to carrier locations. Returnzie acts as an intermediary and does not directly provide shipping or delivery services.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account
  • Be at least 18 years of age

4. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer using our Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate package information and pickup details
  • Ensure packages are properly prepared and labeled
  • Be available during the scheduled pickup window
  • Not ship prohibited items (hazardous materials, illegal goods, etc.)
  • Pay all fees associated with the Service
  • Treat drivers with respect

5. Driver Responsibilities

As a driver using our platform, you agree to:

  • Maintain a valid driver's license and appropriate insurance
  • Handle packages with care
  • Complete pickups in a timely manner
  • Take required photos as proof of pickup and delivery
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintain professional conduct with customers

6. Fees and Payment

Service fees are displayed before you confirm a pickup request. By confirming, you authorize us to charge your payment method. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in these Terms or as required by law.

For subscription plans, charges recur automatically until cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

7. Insurance and Liability

Packages are covered by basic insurance up to $200 per package. Additional coverage may be purchased at checkout. Coverage is subject to the following limitations:

  • Claim must be filed within 7 days of the incident
  • Proof of value must be provided
  • Coverage excludes certain high-value items (jewelry, cash, etc.)
  • Coverage does not apply to improper packaging

8. Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited from being shipped through our Service:

  • Hazardous materials (explosives, flammables, corrosives)
  • Illegal substances or items
  • Weapons and ammunition
  • Live animals
  • Perishable goods
  • Currency, negotiable instruments, or precious metals

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes between customers and drivers will be handled through our dispute resolution process. We employ AI-assisted review and human reviewers to fairly resolve issues. Decisions made through our dispute process are final except as required by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RETURNZIE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Returnzie, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the courts of San Francisco County, California.
